No floorplan, no mention of the architect Vitaly Gzell (a MCM local with a string of domestic accomplishments across the town) and a flood of suggestions on subdivision, ‘refurbishment’, adding floors and allotment size. In short no deference for the history, design or near extinct craftsmanship of such a landmark. Isn’t that magical brickwork fireplace and built in nook enough? Can we not eyeball that bespoke joinery with envy? Are we not sent spinning into Palm Springsian rapture with one glance at that bbq lanai area with a vista straight over the zig zag pool? Viva Brisvegas indeed. How in heavens name can anyone see anything so well built and want to destroy it? We thank Brismod and a couple of others for bringing this residence to our attention – as for the rest of you Brisbane – get your act together! You only have a handful of these homes, you’ll let this one go at your peril.
